171 Our Christmas Quilt!

Well, it took quite a long time, but "Our Christmas Quilt" is finally on the machine.  And my hopes are to have it finished so we are snuggled under it on Christmas Eve :)

It is the Tumbling Spools pattern.  An old fashioned pattern that went well with this special fabric from The Buggy Barn.  The Buggy Barn was a very extraordinary quilters fabric shop smack dab in the middle of golden wheat fields in the center of Washington.  It was the dream of two sisters.  I remember how excited I was to be driving from Idaho after a sweet vacation.  Kevin and I decided to take the scenic route along old Highway 2.  When we arrived at The Buggy Barn, with only 20 minutes to spare before they closed, I gazed across the shelves and shelve of fabric and consulted with Kevin on how much I should get?  Heads turned as other shoppers heard him say, "Honey!  You just get as much as you want!"  All the ladies sighed aloud and looked at me as though I were the luckiest woman in the world.  Ha ha ha.  It was Kevin's shining moment :)
