162 Thankful for our beloved, loving daycare providers - Nancy's "Find The Cupcakes..." Quilt

As three year old Ethan graduates from Miss RuthAnn's 'Infant-to-3-years" loving home daycare, straight into the loving arms of Miss Nancy's happy house, everyone in our family finds ourselves thanking God for these gifted, patient, kind-hearted women.  As my Granny heart rejoices... out pops a quilt of course, for Miss Nancy.  Miss Nancy has watched over Olivia and now takes in Ethan during his after pre-school hours.  Her house is fun and exciting with a puppy, kitty, birdys and a backyard so packed with fun no child wants to leave.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, our dear Miss Nancy.

Maybe all the "Find the _______" (froggy, M&M's, cupcakes, monkeys, etc.) squares will help keep those little ones busy.
Can you find them all?

160 Diane's Happy Scrappy - a Comforter receives a comfort

Diane, you work so hard to make our world a better place.  You comfort and restore and listen and advise.  I am grateful.  So I offer you what I am able to do... make your world a softer place.  XO

The squares represent all the types of personalities, characters and emotions you've encouraged and inspired.  The sad & mad, the confused & disillusioned, the victimized and the downtrodden.

I just love these Happy Scrappy Quilts.  Maybe it is the Pioneer Girl in me?  Or the nostalgic girl in me?  These scrappy quilts just seem so QUILT-Y to me.
The meandering path pattern on the back is in variegated thread.  I like how it added interest to the plain muslin fabric.

159 Cousin Saundy's High Desert Colors Quilt

Saundy gave me her fabric over a year ago.  She hoped for a Couch Cuddle Quilt with stars.  She picked colors that represent the lands of the high plateau in central Oregon.  So pretty!

I got a kick out of having her quilt ready for her visit.  It is fun to just rest the quilt on the bed and let her discover it.
Ava snuggled up in Nonny's quilt, enjoying a new book.
