21 - KK Wins!

And the winner of Quilters Dilemma is...
Kuzzin KK!
Your quilt is prepped and on the long arm!  Betcha have it wrapped around you before January is done!  Especially if Livi keeps up the great work ;)
Whew!  Finished.  Cathy completed two-thirds of the binding while I gave my wrists and elboes a break.  Then I finished up the binding and label this week.  Can't wait to give it to KK.

Update March 3:  Well it took longer to bind KK's than originally planned (my elboes are sore).  Thanks, Cathy, for binding two-thirds of it!  XO.  KK finally got her quilt this weekend when we had a "Girls Night" with newborn Kylie Rae.  KK loves, loves, loves her quilt.  And Kylie Rae loved partyin down with her Mimi Karlie, Auntie Katey, Auntie KK, and Auntie "Kobin."  ha ha ha

CuzzyBill Cuts The Cutting Mat

Aren't cousins wonderful!  Cuzzy Bill originally cut my 14 foot long melamine board for my Long Arm Table.  Now, today, he  and Mike kindly cut my 12 foot long cutting mat.  It sure is nice to know cousins in high places :)  Thanks, cuz!  And thanks Mike!  Come over and see how nice your work fits on my Long Arm sometime soon!  XO

When You're Thirteen

When you are 13 you get to come up to Robin's Quilter's Studio and learn to quilt!  Sarah's first!  She decided to work on a Scrappy Four Patch.  So far it is really beautiful.

Today Sarah got her first try at Long Arm Quilting.  She's a natural!

More fun in the Quilters Studio!

Excited Tallie came running in with her pretty marker colored design work and asked me if she could translate it to fabric.  Her family had a wonderful picture taken and Tallie knew her Bumpa & Macka would be thrilled to have this picture on the wall.  Tallie envisioned the picture on fabric and then framed in scrappy piecework.  I was impressed to see Tallie's design come to fruition.  Tallie picked all the fabric, then she sewed all the strips.  Next she and I used the computer to transfer the family picture to fabric - a fun part of the project.  Finally, together, we sewed the strips to the picture.  What a fun Saturday!  Tallie can't wait to give this Christmas present to her grandparents!
